Terms of use
1. Scope
These terms apply to the purchase and use of software, modules, extensions, templates, digital files, license keys and related documentation supplied through the SK Software Center.
2. Product information and contract formation
Each product page describes the essential functions, system requirements, license or usage tiers, file formats, download conditions, and net, tax and gross amounts. Before payment, the customer confirms the email address and receives a separate binding order summary. The contract is formed after successful payment and the subsequent electronic order confirmation.
3. Email verification
The download portal, invoice and any license, API, file or archive key are supplied only to the email address confirmed before purchase. The customer is responsible for secure access to this email account.
4. Digital delivery
After payment has been confirmed, the purchased software, template or other digital file, installation or usage guidance and, where applicable, a license, API, file or archive key are made available in the personal download portal. Access may be limited by time and number of downloads. The customer must secure the file and related keys within the stated period.
5. Right of use
The customer receives a simple, non-exclusive and, unless expressly agreed otherwise, non-transferable right of use within the selected license tier. License and file keys must not be published, resold, sublicensed or supplied to third parties to circumvent license controls.
6. Quotas and technical bindings
Where a license includes a time- or volume-based quota, the scope stated in the product description applies. Any technically required binding to an installation, domain or organisation forms part of the relevant license description.
7. System requirements, file formats and installation
The customer must verify the stated system requirements and the ability to process the supplied file format before purchase. Complete backups and tests in a non-production environment are required before each installation or update. Individual modifications of the target system are included only where expressly stated.
8. File keys and protected archives
If a file is password-protected or supplied as an encrypted archive, the related key is displayed in the download portal and the confirmation email. The customer must store the file and key separately and securely. Unlimited renewed delivery is available only where expressly stated in the product description.
9. Updates and support
The scope and duration of updates and support are defined in the relevant product and plan description. Changes to third-party software, hosting environments or interfaces may require additional adaptations.
10. Prices, taxes and invoice
The total prices displayed immediately before the order is submitted apply. Net amount, tax and the gross amount payable are shown separately. An invoice is supplied electronically after successful payment. For cross-border or otherwise different tax situations, the amounts displayed in Checkout and on the invoice apply.
11. Withdrawal for digital content
Statutory withdrawal rules apply to consumers. Where the consumer requests immediate delivery before the withdrawal period has expired, the required declarations are collected separately during Checkout and documented in the order confirmation. The central withdrawal notice remains authoritative.
12. Warranty and liability
Statutory warranty and liability rules apply. Liability for data loss that could have been prevented by adequate backups may be limited to the extent permitted by law.
13. Suspension in case of misuse
A license may be suspended pending clarification in case of misuse, unauthorised disclosure of a key, manipulation attempts or material payment issues. Statutory customer rights remain unaffected.
14. Final provisions
German law applies. Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the consumer's habitual residence remain unaffected.
